SOUND THERAPY NEAR ME: HYPNOSOUND BATHS TO HELP CONNECT YOUR MIND AND BODY
We live in a time of abundant opportunity, and that includes what kind of help you can receive; so, you may be thinking to yourself “I want to find sound therapy near me.” One amazing choice of sound therapy is hypnotherapy sound baths.
After the amazing experience of the HypnoSound Bath with HER, I would love to share some insights into how this type of therapy will help connect your mind and body!
What is a hypnotherapy sound bath? (Or a HypnoSound bath?)
A full immersion hypnotic journey where sound bowls are played under the hypnotic suggestions to deepen the trance and to move energy both in the mind and the body.
What can a HypnoSound bath help me with?
The benefits vary depending on the topic or goal of the workshop or hypnosis session. In the past we have done Hypnosis for Anxiety to help lower anxiety levels. Hypnosis for Self Love to increase confidence and Hypnosis for Money Mindset to help participants improve their subconscious relationship with money.
Other benefits of these workshops include: lower stress levels, improve conscious awareness of their subconscious programming to begin the process of change.
Build community and connection with other participants.
In what way does this therapeutic process involve sound?
I have a sound healer play sound bowls that resonate throughout the whole body and tap into different chakras. I think it creates a fully immersive experience that is felt in the body as much as the mind.
What are the benefits of sound bowls specifically?
I don't fully know how they work or what they do. I just love the way they sound and how they make me feel. But Amy is the expert in that one.
How long does a HypnoSound bath last?
The workshop is usually 1.5-2 hours long. The Hypnosis & Sound Bath part is about 20 minutes of the full workshop. Some are designed to be shorter by 1 hour and I look forward to planning a full day retreat in the near future.
How often is it beneficial to participate in a HypnoSound bath?
The more the better! Repetition is the key to reprogramming the subconscious mind. It works much faster than talk therapy but still requires consistent attention. Ideally a sound bath would be a lovely compliment to one on one hypnotherapy session where I can really customize the hypnotic suggestions for the individual.
What are your favorite aspects of a HypnoSound bath experience?
Connecting with other humans on a deeper, more raw level. Being witness to people's discoveries and inspired by the vulnerability some people are willing to show in a group setting.
Can you bring your HypnoSound bath to my company?
Absolutely! Recently I offered a HypnoSound bath to a team at Netflix. We focused on Hypnosis for Netflix’s caregiver group called The Village. The focus was Hypnosis to achieve your career goals while caring for others. We gave everyone an opportunity to talk about their goals, did some journaling to gain clairity on the struggles they are currently facing. And then I taught them about how hypnosis works and shared my personal story on my first experience with a hypnotherapist. Amy led the group through a mini breathwork session to process what was brought to the surface through the journaling. We then dropped into a hypnosis journey to connect with a peaceful place within and to discover the value within to take care of ourselves. I also gave some personalized suggestions to support each attendee in their specific goals they had shared with the group. At the end we opened it up for sharing and I read a poem about productivity anxiety by Rupi Kauri.
Why did you choose to offer this to a company?
I was invited by a friend who had attended a Hypno Sound bath in my backyard. She loved it so much she wanted to share it with her community of caregivers. As a caregiver of two kids under 8 myself, I felt personally compelled to support this group and am honored to be invited. Motherhood has been a big struggle for me and I can remember cleary the anxiety I had trying to juggle career with kids. Hypnosis has been an amazing tool for me in my mental health and I want to let others know how they can use it too.
Who else will you offer HypnoSound bath services to?
I plan to host a Hypnosis Sound bath every other month throughout the year and am planning to begin to find residency at different companies around town. This month we will be doing another hypnosis sound bath virtually for Netflix, I’ll be hosting a private Hypnosis workshop for a group of moms and am also going to be hosting a workshop for a new membership club called Heimat.
I am always looking for other groups, corporations or collaborators to bring these workshops to their communities.
Can I do something similar at home, if so what?
You could probably find a station on Spotify or Pandora that has sound bowls and then find a hypnosis recording elsewhere on line and play them at the same time. It won’t be as coordinated or orchestrated quite as beautifully as a live HypnoSound bath but always worth playing with.
