How weight loss hynosis works
Losing weight with hypnosis is different from "traditional" weight loss programs like fad diets or intense exercise bootcamps. These approaches offer a quick fix while hypnosis can create deep, lasting change on a fundamental level.
Here's what you can expect from the process.
Step 1: Complimentary consultation.
Schedule your complimentary 20-minute consultation here. We'll take some time to get to know each other, address any questions you may have, and discuss whether hypnosis is the right fit for you.
Step 2: Intro session.
At your first hypnotherapy session, we'll take a deeper dive into your struggles. Together, we'll explore the mindsets and behaviors (like negative self-talk and emotional eating) that cause you to gain weight. We'll also set goals for our time together and create a personalized plan to help you get the most out of hypnosis.
Step 3: Hypnosis.
During hypnosis therapy, we'll tap into the brain's natural ability to reach a hypnotic state. If you've ever meditated or participated in savasana during yoga, you already have a sense of what this feels like! During this relaxed state, I'll offer suggestions to help you shift those mindsets and behaviors we discussed in Step 2.
Step 4: Enjoy your results!
When our sessions are complete, you'll have the confidence and tools you need to manage your weight loss goals once and for all. And if something new comes up or you need a tune-up on what we worked on, I'm always here to help. Plus, I offer group workshops and events!

While more research is needed to explore exactly how hypnosis for weight loss works and how effective it can be, some studies show that it can be incredibly successful. One 1985 study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology showed that participants in a weight loss hypnosis program lost a significant amount of weight and continued to lose weight even 2 years after the program ended.
In my firsthand experience as a Certified Hypnotherapist, I've seen how much hypnosis can help people. It's not a replacement for necessary medical care (especially if you have health conditions, an eating disorder, or other medical or mental health issues), but it can be a life-changing tool to help people whose mindsets and behaviors keep them stuck in unhealthy patterns.

My hypnosis for weight loss program is 8 sessions long but there is no magic number of sessions that's right for everyone. Each person's journey is unique, so we'll work together to make a plan that works for your needs and goals. I've seen people start to see changes after only one or two sessions and continuously feel stronger over the following months.

Insurance plans may cover hypnotherapy if it's deemed medically necessary. I don't work with insurance companies at my practice because I believe that people should have access to this life-changing approach without having to get approval from their insurance company.
